How it
works

Infinum Academy is a program where you have the opportunity to learn the foundations of modern software design or development. We say foundations, but you can actually learn a lot, depending on how much effort you put in. All courses are split between lectures, one-on-one mentoring sessions, and home-assignments.

Lectures

So it starts, school bell ringing. We meet two times per week for 2-hour live classroom sessions. We cover the theory, but most of our time together is dedicated to practical assignments. You’ll receive all the necessary materials before each lecture. Think code samples, readings and other bits and pieces we see fit.

Communication

There is a lot of talking and yelling in the process of creating software. Important e-mails are sent out every once in a while, and you’ll also be getting access to our super-secret Slack group. So there’s some typing involved as well. We go above and beyond to keep you well-informed, and don’t worry, we were just joking about the yelling part.

Mentoring

There’s a person ready to answer all of your questions and concerns, and a shoulder to cry on when you get stuck with something. You meet with your mentor once a week. You can discuss design, the code you wrote, homework, or just talk about life. Mentors are always available on Slack or via e-mail, so feel free to bother them as much as you want.

Homework

If you thought this was the place with no homework, you were wrong. Except here, homework is fun. You get to apply everything you’ve learned in class and build a real-world app from the ground up. For development courses, homework is reviewed using pull requests. Designers just tend to sprinkle some glitter to see if your work shines.

Time to be picky

What’s it all about

We’ve been building software for over 14 years. With more than 500 projects behind us, we figured we’re doing something right. Our teams of 200+ people have polished their skills creating apps for renowned world brands, and we want to share that knowledge with you, dear reader.
